Job Description

Our Hotel industry Client is looking for a Director of HR to work for a property in Santa Clara, CA.  Candidates MUST HAVE previous been in an HR Director/Manager in a Hotel previously to be considered.  Candidates MUST also have union environment and extensive payroll experience.  This position will have 1 direct report and will report to the GM of the property.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all HR duties related to hiring, training, benefits, compensation and labor relations for the hotel.
  • Recruit, interview, train, supervise, counsel, schedule and evaluate team members
  • Ensure hotel compliance with all government laws and company’s policies
  • Manage department budget

 

Job Requirements

  • 5+ years of Human Resource Management experience required in a Hotel
  • MUST HAVE prior Hotel environment experience
  • MUST HAVE Union experience
  • MUST HAVE strong payroll experience
  • Spanish speaking strongly preferred
  • Previous experience with UltiPro preferred
  • Experience with Affirmative Action Plans preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • HR Certification, SPHR/PHR Certification preferred
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills are necessary
