You will also monitor and maintain the temperature and cleanliness of the fermentation area and equipment. Butchering meat, such as pork, chicken, and beef, for private events, using knives and other tools is a must. You will cut, trim, and portion the meat according to the specifications and requests of our customers. You will also ensure that the meat is handled safely and hygienically and that the waste is disposed of properly. Fixing kitchen equipment, such as stoves, ovens, mixers, is an asset. You may troubleshoot any malfunctions or damages that occur in the kitchen equipment and report any major issues to the manager. You will also perform regular maintenance and cleaning of the equipment and ensure that it is in good working condition. Assisting with other kitchen duties, such as washing dishes, cleaning the kitchen, stocking supplies, and taking orders. You will work cooperatively and efficiently with the rest of the staff and help with any tasks that are assigned to you. You will also follow the health and safety regulations and policies of the restaurant and ensure that the kitchen is a safe and sanitary place to work. To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications and skills: At least 2 years of experience in cooking Cuban, Spanish and Latin cuisine, with knowledge of traditional recipes and ingredients.
