Be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and varied shifts. Ensures the Franchise and Shaner Brand Standard and experience for guests. Adheres to policies of the facility, Franchise, and Shaner policies. Performs skin care and waxing services that meet the established guidelines for the type of service offering and that fulfill guest expectations. Performs all treatments on services menu based upon current licensure. Assesses contraindications of guest that may prevent service from taking place. Always meets the needs of the guest throughout the service. Understands and uses universal precautions when providing services. Cleans and disinfects all equipment. Maintains the highest level of product knowledge and has complete knowledge of all spa service presently offered. Understands the ingredients in products and can explain their benefits to guests. Answers guests' questions in a knowledgeable and professional manner. Recommends products for home use. Suggests other beneficial treatments offered in the spa. Ensures that work areas are clean and set according to procedures. Informs Lead Therapist and Spa Director or other management personnel about product needs. Creates and maintains client cards and treatment notes, when appropriate. Other duties as assigned. Responsibilities The Esthetician is responsible for providing skin care and waxing services to guests of our facility. The therapist should be able to create an environment of relaxation for the guests and provide experiences that create lasting memories for the guest. Qualifications High school graduate or equivalent. Valid state license in esthetics or other credentials required by the state. Minimum one year customer service experience; previous spa experience preferred. Knowledge of professional spa services and treatments a plus. Previous massage and body work experience. Ability to satisfactorily communicate with guests, management, and co-workers to their understanding. Must be able to build rapport with guest. Ability to explain various treatments/services to guests. Bilingual English/Spanish a plus. Excellent customer service skills and work ethic. Efficient, well organized, and able to handle a variety of duties simultaneously. Energetic, enthusiastic, and motivational. Professional manner, discretion, and appearance. Strong team player.
