Sanraku opened its first restaurant on Sutter Street near the Union Square in San Francisco in 1989. Under our motto, "Contributing to the development of the Japanese culinary art and culture, "we are committed to serving genuine Japanese food to customers from all over the world.

In 1999, we opened our second restaurant at Metreon, a commercial complex, next to the convention center in San Francisco. After that, we added our third restaurant 'Sanraku Oakridge' in the San Jose area for the first time in 2016.

At Sanraku, we highly recommend tasting the authentic cuisine of Sushi handcrafted by our chefs who were trained in Japan. Sushi itself has quickly become a dish that has been appreciated by many people in the United States. We not only use fresh fish transported by air from the markets of Toyosu and Kyushu in Japan, but also local ingredients which are specifically selected for our menus. We hope that everyone can come and enjoy our original and flavorful Japanese dishes.

We offer both Sushi bar seatings and tables in our dining space at all three locations to accommodate a variety of needs. From business gatherings to dining with family and friends, we welcome everyone of all ages and backgrounds to dine in with us. We are open all day seven days a week serving our popular 'special deal' lunch during lunch service and seasonal exclusive dishes during dinner service, allowing customers to come anytime throughout the day. Reservations are accepted at all three locations via phone and online.

We of Sanraku strive for creating the best moments for both the local customers in the United States and visitors from all over the world by providing them with happiness and excitement.
