Amador County's best dining experience is on Main Street, Plymouth, the gateway to the Amador Wine Country.  Since 2006 Taste Restaurant and Wine Bar has been delighting guests from around the world with fresh seasonal cuisine, stellar hospitality and a relaxing atmosphere.  Taste has been recognized by ZAGAT, the James Beard Foundation, Wine Spectator and numerous publications for their contribution to hospitality excellence.  Located within minutes of over fifty wineries, Taste is a wine lovers delight for a pre or post tasting meal.  Open six days a week, serving lunch Friday - Sunday, dinner Thursday - Tuesday.  The entire restaurant works as one team to create a memorable experience for our guests and we have a great time making it happen behind the scenes.

We are seeking a Front of The House Manager to join our team at Taste Restaurant and Wine Bar. You will be responsible to plan, organize, direct and coordinate the staff and resources of the business for the efficient, well-prepared, knowledgeable and profitable service of all guests. You will be responsible for providing customers with a memorable dining experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate all guest service
  • Oversee guest services, recognize great service and resolve issues
  • Ensure a high quality of knowledge for all front of the house staff
  • Train and manage front of the house personnel on an ongoing basis
  • Create and adjust staff schedules to meet restaurant needs
  • Adhere to all safety and sanitation regulations
  • Build rapport with guests through table touches

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in fine dining
  • Strong leadership qualities
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage a cohesive teamwork environment
  • Budget management
  • Wine and Beer knowledge. Sommelier training preferred
