Job Description

Our award-winning Resort & Golf Club is seeking an experienced Director of Revenue Management who will report to the General Manager. As Director of Revenue, you will be responsible for the oversight and execution of strategic plans to maximize revenue opportunities throughout the Resort to include; Room Revenue (primary focus), Spa, Food & Beverage, Golf and Meeting Space. The Director of Revenue will support the Vice President of Sales and be heavily involved in group analysis/displacement through Daily Business Review meetings and capitalizing on wedding revenues to ensure the Resort is achieving the correct revenue targets. The Director of Revenue will also work directly with the Marketing team to establish unique events to create demand. Our Resort & Golf Club is the largest resort on the Cape with plans for event space expansion and eventually additional Resort guestroom inventory. Our ownership group, has invested $80 Million in recent Capital Improvements to include a new Ballroom, Nicklaus Design Golf Course, rooftop restaurant Ocean Terrace, Beach House Spa and on-site employee housing to name a few. We are seeking an experienced, highly motivated, extremely analytical and strategic minded individual to join our team who will be focused on growing revenues and moving the needle. Your responsibilities will include: Perform critical analysis of each revenue generating area throughout the Resort. Maximize revenue opportunities in areas such as the Golf Course and Spa Implement transient sales strategies that include minimum length stay minimums and rate fluctuations Through Daily Business Review meetings, complete displacement analysis, catering and banquet requirement minimums and space release policies. Continually monitor group and transient business thresholds within a five-year forecast to ensure measurable improvements for demand availability. Provide accurate forecasting of guestroom revenues Work in concert with the Vice President of Sales to set group ceilings and Minimum Acceptable Group Rates. Implement updates for MAR rates and transient protected thresholds within Delphi for a minimum 3-year window Ensure all statistical and revenue reports are accurate and consistent. Attends appropriate staff, Executive Committee, marketing strategy and other property specific meetings as directed by the General Manager. Provide leadership and training to team members on revenue management procedures and principles Provide daily direction and leadership for the internal Reservation team to include daily management of the Reservations Manager, identifying and hiring reservation agents, handling guest complaints, etc. Participate in the training of the Reservations team and implement programs that conform with FORBES 4-Star reservations standards Lead weekly Revenue Management strategy meetings with General Manager, Vice President of Sales, Hotel Manager and Marketing team Work in concert with the Marketing team to implement unique packages for transient guests for each season. Oversee the creation and loading of these packages through the Resort's PMS and Booking Engine Synxis while ensuring yield management and stay restrictions are implemented accordingly. Strategize with Marketing on new business sources & channels for eCommerce to cultivate and activate new revenue streams. Create and implement unique events that drive demand during historically slow periods even during "peak" season months Manages inventory, rates and length of stay patterns and on all established third-party websites such as Expedia,, etc. Manage the use of flash sale and opaque third-party such as Hotel Tonight, Hotwire, etc. Develop relationships with and provide strategic leadership for partnerships with all distribution channels. (i.e. Expedia,, etc.) Consistently monitor distribution channels for hotel positioning, information accuracy and competitor positioning Update rates in the Resort's PMS system Resort Suite, Channel Manager, CRS and Revenue Management System. Participates in the creation of the annual business plan Participates in the creation of a day by day annual budget for transient & group disciplines Submits daily, weekly and monthly reports in a timely manner as required by ownership and General Manager Create and update all excel documents to include day by day budget, day by day forecast, rate calendar, daily reports, monthly reports, Budget reports, pace reports, etc. SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS: In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by management based upon the requirements of the company. Conduct training classes, analyzes and reviews current and proposed methods, consult with and make recommendations to the management staff for improvement. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the General Manager Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, team members may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel. Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established by the Resort & Club from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position.
