Sales Manager - Corporate/Government/Military MarketsPosition OverviewThis is a position on our two person sales team responsible for two hotels. Primary responsibilities include prospecting, marketing, engaging and selling our two hotels for the corporate, government and military markets.
Duties and ResponsibilitiesYou must be able to multi-task, develop, follow and maintain action plans, take initiative, and be innovative, while maintaining a positive, professional attitude!You must be able to interact with clients and potential clients, present proposals, close deals, and solve problemsYour main concentration will be finding new and maintaining existing business within the corporate, government and military marketsYou will also assist with the leisure markets as needed. This time will fluctuate, depending on the current needs of the hotelsYou will be expected to attend trade conferences and networking events to create and maintain relationships and follow up on leads gathered from these events in order to turn it into new business.You may be expected to travel to feeder cities for sales blitzes or to attend tradeshowsYou will be expected to write proposals and contracts, create e-blasts, mailing pieces, or anything else that is needed to communicate with potential new business.You will interact with clients via in person, on the phone and by email, text, or faxYou will focus on outside sales calls weekly, as well as conduct site tours for potential new clientsYou will be expected to find and book NEW businessYou will be expected to record sales account information into sales data base and sales tracking reportsJob responsibilities may be changed or added at any time, depending on the needs of the hotels and the sales focusAccountabilityThe success of our sales team is based on revenue goals and performance compared to each hotels competitive set. Goals are established and tracked. Incentives are based goal achievement. This position is directly supervised by the Director of Operations
