SUMMARYThe Senior Graphic Designer serves as a creative leader to coordinate and complete jobs consisting of digital and print content - including brochures, flyers, graphics and other customer facing content for all Scott Enterprises properties. He/She will execute projects and campaigns in the hospitality industry to engage and excite new and old guests. This position is recognized by management for their creative expertise, guidance, and art direction it provides.
With senior-level digital and print design experience, he/she must be able to use a high-level of expertise to deliver and encourage stunning creative concepts to meet project briefs and expectations. Working with authority and professionalism, they will delegate tasks and offer feedback to team members, ensuring the high-quality design work and effectiveness.
Developing the Scott Enterprises design capability through leadership and inventive concepts, the aim is to set print and online campaigns apart from competitors. The fullest understanding of graphic design, typography and brand standards are as essential as the experience to execute projects of all sizes, and complete them with resourcefulness and dedication.
SENIOR GRAPHIC DESIGNER KEY ROLE:
The senior designer is responsible for concepting, designing and providing support to the Creative team, across both traditional and digital platforms.Guide the creative process to ensure projects are completed on-time and on-budget, as well as foster strong working relationships with junior designer, subcontractors, vendors, interns, etc.Communicate and facilitate the art direction, formatting and execution of advertising campaigns across both print and digital environments.Keeps informed on latest trends and forecasts in the hospitality, tourism, and restaurant industries that can enhance the customer experience, increase revenue, and deliver strong brand promises.Work closely with the Director of Marketing (or project lead) to develop, conceptualize, and brainstorm visual solutions to meet marketing and creative needs. This includes print and digital advertising materials such as: brochures, signage, ad copy, materials layouts, flyers, artwork, email templates, short videos, infographics, logo treatments, event signage, banners, posters, event materials, and support of TV and digital marketing assets. Must be an excellent creative thinker and creative problem solver, can lead brainstorming sessions on how to build and execute creative strategies to meet the needs of various target audiences, campaigns, and sales goals. Maintain the highest standards in graphic design, typography, image editing, and produce cutting-edge creative content and possess excellent writing skills.Help build and oversee brand guidelines across every touchpoint including web, ecomm, point of sale, sales materials, digital, print, events, promotions, and more.Execute brands consistently across all initiatives while using every opportunity to grow and elevate.Must be truly passionate about design, its value and impact on the organization and guests. Use every project as an opportunity to operationalize design while acting as a brand ambassador.Maintain an advanced knowledge of software used for design and trends within the creative industry. Work efficiently with vendors on the development of client materials to stay on-time and on-budget.Submit creative deliverables within the agreed upon deadline and budget.Follow all department policies: file management, workflow, project management, production, archiving, and communication.Attend meetings as assigned.Manage production of all print pieces from conception to completion including pre and post-production quality checks.Participate in strategic planning sessions for creative project execution and conceptualize ideas to initiate processes to design deliverables.Detail Orientation: Captures/documents specific and accurate information; learns subjects thoroughly and in detail; completes work with thoroughness; supplies appropriate details when requested; maintains organized filesConfidence to delegate tasks, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to keep a cool head and meet deadlines in a high-paced marketing department.

BFA in visual/graphic design or formal design training5+ years of design experience working as an Sr. Designer/Art Director in an agency or creative environmentStrong creative, organizational, problem-solving and time-management skills.Excellent interpersonal, professional, and communication skills. Expert knowledge in the print production process.Work well with tight deadlines in a team and fast-paced environment.Able to take projects from start to finish with minimal supervision.Enthusiasm, drive, and ability to work effectively within a team. Finds a fast-paced work environment fun and exciting. Adaptable and quick learner. Must be able to apply style guides creatively while upholding brand identity for multiple brands.Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite. Experience in WordPress and video/audio editing a plus. Expertise in designing for multi-channel marketing that can work across different media (print, radio, TV, digital, e-mail, etc.)
