Fuel Distribution System Operator CDL A Fuel Delivery Driver $34+/HR LB&B Associates Inc. is currently seeking full-time fuel distribution system operators for our contract to provide fuel support services at San Clemente Island, CA. Position includes free lodging, 72 per day per-diem, and flight transportation to and from the island. Positions are minimum 40 hours per week, and may include rotating shifts, and weekends. Pay rate: $34.06 per hour. Effective April 1, 2024, the rate will increase to $35.42 per hour. Minimum qualifications include: Qualified candidates must have a minimum of 2 years experience, and high school diploma or equivalent. Must possess or be able to obtain a CDL A or CDL B with tanker and hazmat endorsements and a safe driving record. Responsibilities Responsible for safe and timely set-up, monitoring and transfer of fuel movements during a specific shift assignment. Ensure through definitive methods that product meets or exceeds quality standards set forth; ensure all work is completed in a timely manner, contributing to a safe and efficient operation. Perform Hot and Cold Refueling of aircraft in accordance with NAVAIR 00-T-109, i.e. Truck Cold Refueling and Pantograph Hot Refueling. Spill cleanup, maintenance scheduling, hazardous waste, and fuel quality assurance operations. Sample petroleum handling equipment and systems by various methods and means, from receipt to product issue. Complete all assignments directed by the manager or supervisor in a safe, efficient, and timely manner as required by Company rules and regulations and all Federal, State and local laws. Experienced in use of common fuel sampling equipment, aviation, and ground fuel sampling procedures, and conducting laboratory tests of petroleum products. Have a knowledge of automated tank gauging systems, high/low level alarms. FDSO positions will be cross trained in all areas of fuels operations. Other duties as assigned.
