Responsibilities The Southbridge Hotel and Conference Center is looking for an energetic well rounded candidate to join our Food and Beverage Team! Our Wait staff serve customers by taking orders, serving food and preparing tables. An important part of the work is to make customers feel welcome and comfortable during their meal. As a waiter or waitress, your main duties would include greeting customers as they arrive and showing them to their table, serving food and drinks, making sure tables are clean and tidy. Qualifications Be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and varied shifts. Ensures compliance with and completion of all daily operational procedures by the Food and Beverage Department. Maintains food and beverage safety and quality based on hotel, Shaner, and Franchise specifications. Ensures communication with General Manager, all other Department Managers, Supervisors and Staff. Other duties as assigned. Minimum one year of experience in a similar position dealing with the public. Minimum state age requirement to serve alcoholic beverages. Ability to satisfactorily communicate with guests, management, and co-workers to their understanding. High school graduate or equivalent, some college preferred. ServSafe and/or food safety training. Alcohol awareness training (such as TIPS). Bilingual English/Spanish a plus. Knowledge of local activities and attractions appropriate for clientele. The successful candidate will be able to mix and match ingredients in order to create classic and innovative drinks in accordance with customers' needs and expectations. Min of 2 years' experience in a restaurant setting preferred but not required. Manager is seeking someone who is Personable, professional, meticulous, the candidate will be dealing with clients of a law firm. Professional appearance is a must. Previous Hospitality exp most helpful also. Provides consistent and high-quality standard of food and beverage set up/service to clients, ensuring smooth delivery of conference and function services. Sets up and breaks down conference rooms according to event orders as well as maintains cleanliness standards for kitchens, equipment, and meeting rooms. Assembles and arranges conference equipment in function and conference rooms per event requirements. Disassembles conference rooms at appropriate breakdown times. Office maintenance, including, but not limited to trash removal, cleaning, ordering and restocking kitchens, pantries, supplies, etc. This position may also include general clerical, reception, copying, mail services, shipping and receiving products and supplies, sorting, distributing, and handling incoming and outgoing mail.
