SUMMARY

Bering Straits Professional Services, a subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation is currently seeking a Janitor for our office located in Belcamp, MD.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The Essential Duties and Responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties performed for this position and are not intended to reflect all duties performed within the job. Other duties may be assigned.

• Cleaning/Disinfecting bathrooms, offices, common areas and kitchens
• Dusting, mopping, vacuuming, buffing, stripping/finishing and cleaning windows
• Removal of waste and recyclables
• Supplying materials that are low
• Polishing and detailing stainless steel

QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION

Required (Minimum) Qualifications

• 1 year of previous janitorial and/or housekeeping experience
• US Citizen

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics

• The ability to provide excellent janitorial and/or housekeeping services
• The ability to be able to effectively communicate.
• Understand basic safety techniques and requirements
• Other duties as assigned

Job is performed in various settings with exposure to other employees, computer screens, storage rooms, cafeteria's, exercise areas, child care facilities and warehouse space.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS

As a condition of employment, may be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results to obtain access to military base. Must have reliable transportation to/from work a necessity and must be able to obtain access to military installations.
