Begin your forever career here! CoWorx Staffing Services has an exciting opportunity for Kettle Operators with a local candy company in the Baltimore, MD area! This position is responsible mixing dry ingredients into liquid ingredients into industrial kettles to make the candy. An updated resume is required for ALL positions. Responsibilities: • Perform necessary pre-operation activities to ensure that the kettles are prepared and ready for cooking. • Properly inspect and utilize ingredients then add to the kettles following established methods and formulas. • Effectively maintain kettle uptime to ensure efficient production flow for the entire shift. • Visually inspect, operate and monitor machines and various measuring devices during the production process. • Collect the cooked candy from the kettles into batch trays then store those trays on racks. • Ensure cleanliness of your machine throughout the day to reduce downtime of the machine. • Clean machines and work station properly at the end of each shift. Desired Background/Skills: • Must be at least 18 years of age • Must be able to lift, push and pull up to 50lbs, and transport the item to another production area. • Must be able to continuously lift 3 to 50 lbs. to a height of 5ft • Ability to stand 100% of an 8-hour shift. • Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment is a plus. • Ability to read write communicate and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos, in English. -Highschool Diploma or equivalent Other Information: • Set schedules and Day shift only! • Climate controlled facility • Secure parking • Opportunities for advancement • Employee Uniforms-means you don't have to ruin your everyday clothes.
