Omakase Restaurant Group is looking for a Sous Chef to join our new location in the Design District area, Rosemary and Pine!

We are looking for passionate and like-minded individuals to become part of our kitchen team. While our restaurant is centered around open fire cooking, our cuisine is built on a foundation of respect for seasonality, the highest quality ingredients, advanced techniques and a focus on sound cooking skills. Currently offering a $1500 sign up bonus after 90 days of employment with the company.


Responsibilities

1. Assist Chef in oversight all aspects of daily kitchen operation. Must know all

areas of station prep, and teach other station members correct methods.

2. Oversee all work performed by kitchen employees: speed and accuracy of

prep work, quality and presentation of finished dishes during service.

3. Manage, teach, inspire the cooks. Create a positive environment that

encourages teamwork. Help prep and plate as necessary.

4. Assist Chef in ordering and obtaining of products from farms, farmer's markets

and vendors Help develop new menu items.

5. Help write and proofread daily menus and ingredients lists .

6. Help to conduct daily line ups and contribute to server's education.

7. Monitor quality of raw ingredients, ensure that product coming into kitchen is of the highest quality.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an

individual must be able to excel at each essential duty. The requirements listed

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: At least 3 years experience in an operation with similar quality and size. Some management experience preferred.
