About the Role
The In Room Dining Server is responsible for setting up and delivering in room dining food orders in a timely manner to guest satisfaction.
Position Responsibilities
+ Running food orders to guest rooms or assigned areas
+ Restocking silverware, plates, linen, condiments and beverages
+ Dressing tables, folding napkins, refilling ice buckets
+ Bussing tables and trays from guest rooms or hallways
+ Serves all guests according to established standards of quality
+ Completes all set-up and closing duties in a timely fashion
+ Is familiar with all pre-check and cashiering procedures; presents check to guest and collects payment
+ Adheres to state liquor laws
+ Relays guest complaints/compliments to the appropriate supervisor
+ Maintains a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility
Essential Functions
+ The ability to use hands and wrists in repetitive motion to pour liquids
+ Must be able to work with a computerized POS system for order entry, pre-check functions, etc.
+ The ability to handle all types of guest related situations
+ The ability to use hands and arms to push in room dining carts weighing up to 35lb for an entire shift
+ The ability to lift hot boxes waist and chest high weighing up to 30lbs for an entire shift
+ The ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, lift, reach, pull, push, kneel, squat and grasp
+ Must be able to walk and stand for entire shift
+ Shift assignments may be irregular, and will cover days, nights, weekends and holidays
What's Required
+ Minimum of 6 months' experience as a food server in high volume and/or fine dining environments.
+ Ability to work in a high-pressure environment
+ Ability to effectively communicate with guests, co-workers and management
+ High School Diploma or equivalent
+ Ability to effectively communicate in English
