Food & Beverage
The Food & Beverage Manager position is primarily responsible for the quality control and financial growth of Local '84 and the Splash Bar business. This focus is to ensure the Café is hitting revenue targets, personnel is upholding the brand standards for offerings and service, and the overall company's objectives for hospitality and profitability are achieved. This position shall add to a high-quality Member Experience and be accretive toward driving Member Results, thereby making a positive impact on the FFC Prime Directive which is to Get and Keep Members.
They are responsible for the overall day-to-day operations as well as a plan to grow the business, drive sales, and manage costs. Must have the ability to run a smooth and efficient shift.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide a clean, safe, and healthy environment for members, guests, and co-workers.
Every staff member, regardless of position, has a primary and urgent responsibility to clean and disinfect all club components as they are used by members and guests, and yourself. Help retain and attain new members through club promotion and customer service excellence.
As a team member manager, assist with the opening and closing of the club on a team rotational basis.
Follow all FFC Service Standards, Core Values, Mission, and Purpose
Ordering products and managing the delivery/distribution to ensure proper inventory levels
Ensure all equipment has proper maintenance - both preventative and repair
Manage staff schedules in order to create maximum efficiency and to be at our below payroll budget
Accurate processing and completing of payroll for Café staff
Filling in shifts when necessary due to staff shortages
Interviewing, selecting, training, coaching, and retaining staff
Annual performance reviews for all staff in the required reviewing period
Responsible for control of cash handled at the register and ensuring proper items are rung in
Responsible for cash management including nightly bank drops
Maintain a consistently clean and well-organized Café and Bar area. Ensure a photo-ready cafe, bar, and seating area.
Assists customers with questions and product selection
Follows departmental procedures for safety, proper food handling, and sanitation according to local, state, and federal health code regulations. Hand washing practices followed.
Work both front and behind the house making, preparing, and serving food
Meet or exceed revenue and net income budgets for both Local 84 and the Splash Bar
Manage all aspects of the Splash Bar during the summer season including events
Basset or TIPS Certified
Count Inventory on a bi-monthly basis and report results
Food Waste Management by managing par levels; COGS at or below budget
Attend Weekly 1:1 meetings with GM and Weekly Department Head Meetings
Conduct Monthly Staff Meetings with the entire team
Responsible for vending machine operations
Any other responsibilities or projects as assigned by the supervisor
Requirements
Qualifications:
Desire to provide excellent customer service
Outgoing, friendly personality
Ability to effectively train, lead, motivate and inspire café & bar personnel
Ability to handle multiple tasks
Able to communicate effectively with others and convey enthusiasm
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Google Docs and Microsoft Excel
Obtain Illinois Food Safety Manager certification or any state/city required certifications
1-year Food & Beverage Management Experience
Physical requirements include: walking and standing during the entire shift (often 4-8 hours), climbing stairs, kneeling to clean floors, pushing and pulling objects, lifting and moving objects (up to 50 lbs.), and cleaning.
