River Bend Assisted Living, a 94-unit assisted living and memory care campus located just east of downtown Rochester, is hiring a Part-Time Maintenance Worker to join our team! In this role, you will assist the maintenance department to help maintain our beautiful campus. You will also transport residents to grocery stores, restaurants, and community outings. Our ideal candidate is friendly, positive, and has an outgoing personality. 

This is a Part-Time position working a varied schedule. Hours: 7:30 am to 4:00 pm. Pay: $14.00 / hour

Maintenance Worker responsibilities: 

  • Respond to various maintenance requests by residents and staff.
  • Collect and dispose of garbage at our campus.
  • Complete lawn care and snow removal as needed.
  • Drive the bus for schedule resident and employee outings. 
  • Complete proper documentation for MnDOT including daily logs and quarterly reports. 
  • Track and schedule maintenance for the bus. 
  • Complete daily upkeep for the bus including filling up gas, washer fluid, etc.
  • Complete additional tasks as requested.

Maintenance Worker skills and requirements:  

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required. 
  • Must pass the MnDOT physical examination and a criminal background check.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.
  • Prior experience working with people with memory loss and physical disabilities is desired. 
  • Friendly, outgoing and positive personality.
