QUALIFICATIONS: Skills & Abilities: * Must possess excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills. * Must possess the ability to interact with members and staff on all levels in a professional, positive, and friendly manner. * Position requires a highly professional demeanor, adaptability, flexibility and adherence to a strict level of confidentiality. * Ability to adhere to food service policies, procedures, and safety and sanitation. * Ability to comprehend and carry out instructions. * Ability to work as a team player and maintain a professional appearance at all times. * Ability to work all shifts, days, nights, weekends, and holidays. * Ability to read, write, and speak English. Bilingual a plus. Experience: * Experience in a fine dining environment a must. * Two (2) years experience as a server preferred. * Knowledge of food and wine service preferred. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: * Requires ability to bend, stoop, lift, balance and carry items up to 50lbs. * Ability to assist in moving furniture when necessary. * Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time. * Ability to operate and handle a computer, wine opener, and other restaurant equipment. * Ability to move about freely on a multi-floor building. PRIMARY FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Performs related server set-up tasks, as assigned. * Provides immediate attention to all guests using fine dining standards of service. * Takes beverage orders (as necessary and instructed) and serves guests. * Pours and refills wine, coffee, water and other beverages served with and after the meal. * Clears soiled dishes as needed. * Cleans all assigned work areas in kitchen and dining areas. * Advises supervisor of any member or guest complaints as soon as they occur. * Assists in closing functions by performing various tasks such as removing linen, busing glasses, dishes, silverware, etc., and re-setting the room for next function. * Attends staff meetings including pre-service (line-up) sessions. * Assures that all state and local laws and club policies and procedures for the service of alcoholic beverages are consistently followed. * Random bathroom checks for cleanliness during functions. * Maintain cleanliness of employee breakroom and locker area. * Thanks members and guests. * Consistently follows all sanitation-related requirements, including those related to personal hygiene. * Completes other appropriate assignments made by management and captains.
