Job Description

One of Seattle's hot Indian restaurant - Meesha is looking for folks with passion for hospitality to fill back of the house positions. Candidates must have a positive attitude and the ability to work well in a team.
  • $200 Sign on BONUS (paid after 3 months of continued employment)
  • Daily team member meal

Requirements and Responsibilities:

Line Cook:
  • Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
  • Prepare food for service (Chopping vegetables, butchering meat or preparing sauces)
  • Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
  • Excellent understanding of various cooking methods (Sautee, grill, fry, pantry), ingredients, equipment and procedures
  • Minimum of one year of experience working on the line and a demonstrated ability to close a restaurant at the end of a busy shift.
  • Pay: $21-$24 + Tips
Prep Cook:
  • Food preparation - prepping, cooking, presentation of menu items
  • High volume batch cooking
  • Have prep experience with chopping vegetables and butchering meats and using kitchen equipment for dough making etc.
  • Package, lift & move containers of prepared sauces
  • Keep meal lines organized & tidy
  • Must have prior experience or have a zeal to learn!
  • Willing to participate in and learn additional back of the house activities as needed
  • Pay: $18-$21 + Tips
Dishwasher:
  • Facilitate the cleaning and organization of all restaurant dishes, glassware, flatware, and basic cooking equipment
  • Ensure proper food handling, storage and sanitation standards are always met
  • Assists in station setup and breakdown, when applicable
  • Help with kitchen support - prep, plating, clean-up as needed
  • Maintain cleanliness and basic maintenance of kitchen spaces and equipment
  • Must have prior experience or have a zeal to learn!
  • Willing to participate in and learn additional back of the house activities as needed
  • Pay: $18-$20 + Tips

All candidates must have access to standard technologies - working cell phone, texting, internet and have the required State of Washington certifications (Food Handlers Card). Must have prior experience and a zeal to learn!

We are open for dinner service only. Both part time and full-time positions available. Competitive hourly wages plus tips.
