Market Development Manager

Reports To:

Regional Sales Manager


2-5 years in retail. Business analytics preferred

Special Requirements:

Must be willing to travel up to but not limited to 20% of the time. Good Driving record and be able to lead and inspire 3rd party sales distribution

The person identified for this role will have a strong retail background and will be responsible for leading and working with key distributor partners to help them execute the Good2Grow objectives at a high level. This person must be a highly motivated and a self-starter. They will be required to work in the field 4 days a week with distributor partners. Travel to other geographies will, also be expected in this role and one should plan on traveling over 20% of the time. This person will ride with distributor sales reps and team leaders and train them on the Good2Grow products. Success will be measured by this person's ability to grow sales and POD's with his distributor partners. This person will work closely with the Area Sales Manager to drive execution within a given geographical area.

Key Functions

Lead 3rd party distributors sales growth through brilliant at the basics functions

Growing points of distribution

Expanding shelf presence

Placing POS and or sales materials

Utilizing sales data to drive action with distributor partners

Auditing stores for shelf compliance

Lead and execute crew drives with distributor partners

Attend and present sales materials at distributor sales meetings

Sell in incremental displays through racks, shippers, suction cups, and open air placement

Educate the retailers on Good2Grow category grow story

Provide selling materials to distributor partners

Work with Distributor partners to identify volume opportunities like smaller chains, high volume non-traditional outlets, and chain compliance opportunities

Train new distributor sales reps

Develop sales presentations
