AT SALA'O CUBAN BAR & RESTAURANT
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Assists in the screening, interviewing and hiring of all FOH staff.
Assists in the training and development of all FOH staff.
Maintains specific venue's standards of service, policies and procedures as outlined in the Company's employee handbook.
Issues and tracks employee's progressive disciplinary actions.
Maintains the employee's attendance tracker and issues points according to venue's attendance policies (see related SOP).
Is responsible for operational controls according to venue's SOPs, while restaurant is operating.
Ensures, through supervision, that the staff is conducting themselves according to venue's policies and procedures.
Coaches staff in a positive and motivating way while operating on the floor.
Is responsible for recognizing violations of venue's policies and procedures and issuing disciplinary actions, according to the venue's progressive disciplinary plan.
Is responsible for forecasting and scheduling labor, to remain within budgetary parameters.
Is responsible for maintaining and reporting Cost Of Goods Sold (COGS) within budgetary parameters.
Works with Server and Bartender to secure revenue generated by ensuring that all cash handling, credit card transaction and check tendering's SOPs are being followed without any deviation from them.
Assists with daily guest complaints.
Must have the ability to solve guest complaints without having a negative impact to the company, both financially or socially.
Must be able to stand or walk a minimum of eight-hour shift and work inside assigned bar area in the venue.
Constantly provides guests with accurate information about the restaurant, menus, entertainment and upcoming events.
Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs and manually push/pull up to 150 lbs.
Must be able to stand or walk a minimum of eight-hour shift.
Performs all opening and closing duties as assigned.
Provides help and support to all fellow team members.
Attends and participates in daily pre-shifts and other scheduled meetings.
Must be able to work in a fast pace and high -volume environment, in the presence of areas containing second hand smoke, high noise levels, dancing, bright lights, sun, rain and dust; and communicate during this time, sometimes within a small area.
Acts as an ambassador of the Company, marketing the restaurants and all products offered to the targeted customer base.
