Job Description

Horseshoe Bay Resort will debut the new Cap Rock Clubhouse and Cabana in early 2021. Overlooking renowned Cap Rock Golf courses, the complex features a 270-seat Clubhouse Restaurant, Outdoor Pool, Bar & Grill, and a special event center.

JOB SUMMARY:

This position assists in managing our full-service food and beverage outlet on a daily basis and coordinating special events. Primary duties include ensuring each meal period runs smoothly, assisting wherever needed in the outlet; performing routine table checks; responding and adjusting staffing levels to occupancy changes; working to reduce payroll while increasing productivity; overseeing the supervisory staff as well as designated trainers and hourly associates; and supporting the training program and efforts of the staff.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • -Supports and manages the hotel outlets while working closely with the Restaurant Manager, other Assistant Managers, and other hotel departments.
    -Responsible for short and long term planning of outlet, including group accommodations and events, restaurant service, and supplies.
    -Managing work schedules, training, hiring, and coaching/counseling Associates.
    -Lead and coach the team towards achieving exceptional guest service and employee satisfaction results.
    -Full understanding of Associate engagement.
    -Ability to take the initiative to run the outlet as a free standing entity.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • -High school diploma or equivalent, required.
    -College degree in a hospitality related industry, valued.
    -Must have two years of experience in the food and beverage industry.
    -Must be TABC and Food Handlers certified or ability to obtain within the first 14 days of employment.
    -Experience in customer service; resort experience preferred.
    -Previous supervisory, leadership, management and coaching skills preferred.
