Title of Position: Asset Manager Job Description: The primary function of the Asset Manager is to assist in all aspects of the administrative, financial, capital and operations of the assigned portfolio maximizing the value of stocks, bonds, real estate, and other investments. The Hotel Asset Manager would work directly with the companys CEO to significantly improve revenues and operating performance. Essential Functions: The Hotel Asset Manager will maintain a thorough understanding of all factors affecting hotel markets and submarkets associated with the portfolio.The Hotel Asset Manager develops and implements short-term, intermediate and long-term strategies to improve the value of the portfolio.Financial analysis, performance tracking and ongoing review of all data and documents such as revenue management data, forecast, and profit & loss statements. Will hold monthly reviews with all hotels in order to discuss the monthly date and the strategies to improve performance.The Hotel Asset Manager will complete property reviews for each asset.The Hotel Asset Manager is responsible for assessing, developing and implementing value enhancement opportunities for the portfolio including and operations focus and an understanding of all types of capital projects.Identify and rectify, as commercially responsible, potential or existing conditions relating to life safety, legal or physical deficiencies.The Hotel Asset Manager is responsible for ensuring that property specific compliance requirements are completed including accounting and quarterly reporting of financial statements, requirements of ground lessors, third-party lender requirements, local taxing and zoning authorities. Also responsible for supporting both internal and external counsel, accountants and other consultants in property-specific issues that may occur.The Hotel Asset Manager is responsible for ensuring that capital projects are completed on time and within budget in cooperation with the design and construction group or third parties. This function has wide-ranging implications as the manager must be able to work with a variety of internal and external advisors.┬ĚThe Hotel Asset Manager participates in special projects that may include evaluation (due diligence) of properties for acquisitions or dispositions among other recurring and non-recurring events.Contacts and Liaisons: This position comes in contact with senior management, vendors, etc. Diplomacy, tact, and a helpful, positive, professional presentation and attitude are required. ? A track record of success, integrity and academic achievement supported by the strong recommendation of industry peers is required as are: The desired candidate should have 5+ years of experience in hospitality asset management and/or related operation or finance.A track record of success, integrity and academic achievement supported by the strong recommendation of industry peers is required as are:Achievement of a bachelors degree from an accredited university or business college in a related field preferred.The ideal candidate will have no less than 5 years of relevant experience in the hotel industry in some combination of asset management and operations. Candidate should contain asset management / real estate experience combined with an operations background.Strong interpersonal skills in order to meet the financial needs of the position but within the framework of the organization and culture. Candidate should possess knowledge of sale and lease agreements; have strong computer literacy and be able to conduct financial analysis and pro forma financial modes.Must have previous experience with Marriott and/or Hilton properties.
