What You'll Do The Guest Service Agent (Overnight) is responsible for registration and check-out, PBX operations, mail and message service all the while providing outstanding service to our guests along the way. You'll act as an advocate for the hotel, be a creator of ridiculously personal experiences, and develop relationships with guests that will compel them to return. Some of your responsibilities include: * Review arrivals noting special requests, blocking rooms as needed. * Check in and out hotel guests in a confident, professional and friendly manner. * Answer all phone calls promptly and knowledgeably, always ensuring complete and accurate information. * Complete all items on appropriate (AM, PM, Overnight) checklist by end of shift. * Conduct pre-assignment of hotel rooms, which includes VIPS, repeat guests, all packages, and any special requests. * Follow established key control policy. * Ensure proper credit policies are followed. * Submit all lost & found articles accompanied by a completed lost & found report. * Familiar with all fire and emergency procedures. * Open, secure, and balance out daily shift bank which involves counting and verifying cash, check, and credit card transactions occurring while on duty. * Verify credit limit report. * Monitor room availability throughout shift. * Review daily the selling status of the hotel using yield management system. * Attend department meeting once a month. * Able to communicate via telephone and/or radio with other departments. What You Bring * Previous experience in a Front Desk or customer-facing role is helpful! * High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. * Knowledgeable of immediate area, services, attractions, and events. * Flexible schedule, able to work overnights, weekends and holidays. * Work well under pressure, taking care of many arrivals and departures within a short period of time. * Familiar with hotel systems and operations, and the ability to enter in information accurately is helpful! Starting Pay Range: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour Bonus: Not Eligible Benefits: If you're a full-time employee, averaging 30 or more paid hours per week, you will be eligible to participate in Kimpton's health and welfare plans (medical, dental, vision, disability, and life benefits) after 60 days employment. All employees are eligible to participate in our 401(k) program (with employer match) after 6 months of service. Hotel employees are also eligible for vacation days, and employees start accruing on their first day at a rate of two weeks per year, and are eligible to take approved vacation after 90 days. All Hotel employees who have been employed for at least 90 days are eligible for seven (7) paid holidays per year. All benefit plans are provided at the discretion of the Company and may change periodically with or without notice. The rate or range is what Kimpton in good faith believes is the range of compensation for this role at the time of this posting. Kimpton may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in Colorado. This range may be modified in the future. No amount is considered to be wages or compensation until such amount is earned, vested, and determinable under the terms and conditions of the applicable policies and plans. The amount and availability of any bonus, commission, long-term incentive compensation, benefits, or any other form of compensation and benefits that are allocable to a particular employee remains in the Company's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified at the Company's sole discretion, consistent with the law.
