Job Description

Highland Park Rehabilitation & Nursing Center - The purpose of this position is to complete duties assigned to provide accurate, timely food service to meet residents' needs in compliance with federal, state, and local requirements.

Ability to work well in routine job
Must be able to stand throughout shift on cement floors while performing job duties
Must be able to work at times in a noisy environment with machines running. Position requires exposure to fumes and mist and to various detergents.
Ability to move from one assignment to another and do all of the them quickly and well, accomplishing all tasks and assigned and utilizing initiative to do so
Previous work experience as a Dietary/Food Service Manager

Duties and Responsibilities:

Follow oral and written directions
Monitor set up of trays and food services carts for accurately and timeliness
Assist in preparing, covering and labeling food, as necessary
Assist in the proper care, use and cleaning kitchen equipment, as necessary
Maintain steady work pace
Supervise flow of kitchen
Properly care for, clean and use kitchen equipment
Information of material safety date sheets (MSDS)
Attend in-service training programs for Food Service employees
Observe infection control procedures related to the Dietary department
Come to work as schedule and consistently demonstrate dependability and punctuality
Perform other related duties as directed by his/her Supervisor
Perform all duties assigned in an effective, timely and professional manner
Follow Residents' Rights at all times
Observe facility policies and procedures
Accept assigned duties in cooperative manner
