POSITION: Food Service Worker - HC Days START DATE: ASAP END DATE/CONTRACT LENGTH: 13 Weeks LOCATION: UCSD Hillcrest SHIFT: 5x8H Days Variable days off weekends required. 5:00am - 1:30pm COMPLIANCE REQUIREMENTS: Candidate will be expected to complete typical compliance for health care systems upon hire including providing vaccine records fit test updated physical background check drug screen etc. in order to meet UC San Diego Health HR and Joint Commission standards. JOB DESCRIPTION: Semi-skilled individual who works under close supervision. Areas of work responsibility include any of the following: food preparation dishroom storeroom dining room bussing equipment delivery of food customer service and operation of food carts. Responsible for providing food services in a courteous manner with co-workers patients staff and guests. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: FOOD PREPARATION AND QUALITY CONTROL - Food prep experience in a fast paced environment. Skill in organizing work and materials for maximum productivity. SANITATION AND SAFETY - Ability to understand basic sanitation requirements related to personal hygiene and food handling. COMMUNICATION AND CUSTOMER SERVICE - Skill to interact and communicate positively with other staff and customers. Experience in a restaurant catering or retail operation in a front of house or back of the house environment. Shift Info: 8 Hours 5::30
