Classification: Compensation & Benefits Specialist

Compensation: $26.60 to $30.80 hourly

HRIS Assistant
1.Performs data input into various HRIS systems.
2.Maintains and confirms accuracy of data.
3.Responsible for monitoring the HRIS mail box, investigate and resolve issues quickly and with high customer satisfaction. Work with appropriate HR team members as needed.
4.Serve as primary point-of-contact for technical HRIS issues from faculty and staff.
5.Works closely with HRIS Analyst on special projects as assigned.
6.Work with HRIS Analyst to assess changes to systems, reports and business processes within the department.
7.Train end users on various employee and manager self-service workflows.
8.Perform all other duties assigned by supervisor or manager.

Benefits Assistant
1.Assist Senior HR Manager for Benefits and Work/LifeBenefits & Wellness Manager in administering various employee benefits programs, such as group health, flexible spending accounts, dental and vision, life insurance, and voluntary benefits
2.Serve as a contact to all Faculty & Staff regarding benefit related issues, questions and decisions regarding eligibility. Research and respond to employee inquiries through email, phone, video and in-person support.
3.Oversee the reconciliation of benefit invoices to ensure enrollment and budget accuracy
4.Process benefit and HR related bills to include reconciliation of charges to ensure accuracy, preparation of summary by entity for finance to allocate costs, and submission and tracking of payments to ensure bills are paid on time.
5.Maintain employee benefits filing systems and ensure benefits changes are entered timely and appropriately in HRIS system.
6.Act as a liaison between clients and insurance carriers to independently resolve service problems including but not limited to eligibility, claims and customer service issues
7.Conducts new employee orientation, presentations and briefings on employee benefits plans and policies as required.
8.Responds to 403(b) inquiries from managers and employees relating to enrollments, plan changes and contribution amounts.
