OBJECTIVE The Quality Assurance Manager position is responsible for overseeing the company Food Safety/Quality Assurance System at our Aston facility. Objective: If you are passionate about food safety and quality (and good meat), join our team of Food Safety and Quality Technicians, roaming our meat processing facility to help ensure we put out the best and safest quality product we can. As part of the FSQA Department, you will interact with all departments at all levels to help maintain and promote our strong culture of food safety and quality. We are a relaxed group-we work hard, support each other, and take our role seriously. Essential Tasks: Verification of food safety programs. Monitor GMP. Observational recordkeeping. Product safety and quality checks. Internal audits. Document corrective actions and internal incidents. Assist FSQA Manager with third party audits. Requirements: Preferred experience in Quality Assurance or USDA food manufacturing environment. Preferred HACCP Certification. Experienced with Safe Quality Foods. Demonstrate a high level of organizational skills and creative problem-solving. Able to utilize a computer, printer, and telephone. Fluent in English with outstanding written and verbal communication skills. Bilingual skills (Spanish) preferred. Exhibits excellent attention to detail Experience in a leadership role, preferred Must be reliable, timely, and honest with a drive to always do the right thing. Desire and ability to follow general food safety practices (GMPs, HACCP, and SQF system) Willing to learn and follow our processes. Positive Attitude-makes everyone s day better, including yours! Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate and understand instructions. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, stooping, crouching, twisting, and climbing frequently. The employee will occasionally lift and/or move items up to 60 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to 40-degree temperatures, fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration.
