Job Title: Senior Vice President of Operations Department: Operations Location: New York City Reports to: Chief Operating Officer The Senior Vice President of Operations is responsible for working closely with our Hotel partners (owners and brands), to ensure that all operational standards and financial goals are being met while simultaneously supporting our development and growth strategy. Essential Job Duties: Oversees all Area Hotel Operations in the assigned region. Provides operational oversight to Hotel GMs in the region regarding sales, new procedures, liability concerns, and other property functions. Acts as a liaison between the Corporate Offices, Ownership and the Hotels/Hospitality community. Ensures properties meet the brand standards for the Company. Attends client functions and designated parties to provide support, ensure guest satisfaction and promote future business. Drive understanding and implementation of the property brand identity. Lead local teams to conform to brand strategy and vision. Participates in the sales process for the acquisition of new business, supporting Sightline Development with proposals and contracts. Participates in presentations to prospective clients. Conducts meetings with Regional Team Members to discuss current objectives. Help develop and maintains annual budgets for the assigned region. Monitors financial reports of the region to ensure budgetary compliance with Regional and Corporate goals. Visits properties regularly to inspect operations and ensure management contract compliance. Interfaces with team members to maintain engagement, employee satisfaction and retention. Communicates regularly with ownership through calls, emails, and monthly meetings. Builds and fosters strong relations with asset managers of all company ownership groups. Works closely and communicates well with corporate team and fellow vice presidents to ensure Company resources are properly deployed and informed. Knowledge, Education, Skills and Abilities: Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from a college or any other combination of education, training or experience that provides knowledge, skills and abilities. Minimum of 20 years of Hotel management/progressive work experience required to include GM, Area, Regional and VP of Operations. Experience in property openings (new build and conversion). Renovations & Technical Services Deep knowledge of local hospitality industry and culture. High energy individual, with effective and influential people skills. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a diverse environment with all levels in an organization. Possesses the collaborative skill set to provide Hotel partners with the understanding of property deliverables, ensuring a consistent product. Possesses the financial acumen to see creative opportunities within all profit centers. Strong decision maker who can spot and generate well-formed ideas. Ability to travel extensively. Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the individual regularly works in an office environment and does not work near moving mechanical parts.
