Serve all food and beverages and clear away all dishes and table linens in a professional manner during and after service. Displays exceptional customer service skills and understands rules of etiquette/flow of service for serving tables. Sets up all banquet table linens, china, silverware, glassware, bussing and beverage stations and perishable items for banquet service (i.e. bread, butter and cream) Serves all food and beverages to guests. Clears away dishes and items used in the service of the event, including linens. Ensure proper storage of all items from equipment to perishable foods. Maintains a clean and organized work area. Prepares for future events by folding napkins, filling condiments and other side work duties as required. Completes all side work duties and ensures that banquet rooms and service areas are clean and organized, ensuring that the following shift is set up for success. Relieves other employees during the shift for breaks. Answer guest inquiries pertaining to hotel services, registration of guests and local area information Maintain confidentiality of guest and proprietary information, protecting company assets. Handles guest challenges in a friendly and courteous manner Answers all phone calls in a friendly and courteous manner. Comply with all Legacy Hotel and IMG credit policies. Handle requests for information, mail and messages in an efficient and courteous manner. Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include wearing the proper uniform and name tag when working. Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Legacy Hotel and IMG standards, as required by scheduling which will vary according to the needs of the hotel. Establish and maintain good communications and team work with fellow employees and other departments within the hotel. Have knowledge of and assist in emergency procedures as required Assist other departments when needed to ensure world class service to guests. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Previous experience serving events in a hotel or catering facility is preferred. TIPS/ServSafe certification is required before working.
