Please note, this position is located at Solitude Mountain Resort in Solitude, UT Year Round JOB TITLE: Facilities Attendant DIVISION: Mountain Operations REPORTS TO: Manager LOCATION: Base Area & Mountain Area Facilities CLASSIFICATION: Part-Time / Full-Time / Seasonal / Year-Round/ Hourly POSITION: Solitude is looking for a self-motivated, hardworking individual who loves the mountain scene. The Sanitation Technician is responsible for the day-to-day operations Recycling and trash removal of the mountain facilities. The ideal candidate will enjoy caretaking our facilities to ensure they are in tip-top shape for our guests. SPECIFIC JOB REQUIREMENTS: Sufficient communication skills to answer guest questions Work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays Desire and ability to tolerate and work in varying weather conditions for extended periods of time including hot/cold temperatures, inclement weather, and moving between indoor and outdoor environments Capable of stepping, climbing, kneeling, squatting, and reaching above shoulders as needed. Must be able to meet and/or exceed satisfactory performance levels in all duties as assigned Maintain a clean driving record and valid driver's license Have reliable transportation to get to work, Big Cottonwood park & ride or participate in a resort sponsored carpooling/public transportation program. Some members of this team will require beginner ski-ride ability to commute to on-mountain locations. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Clean public facilities including, but not limited to, lobby, corridors, elevators, stairways, and restrooms according to company standards and within required time frames Continuous collection of trash and debris, sweeping etc. In winter months, ski/ride to facilities to perform duties Communicate in a pleasant and respectful manner with fellow employees and guests Notify Manager of incidents, accidents, injuries, and property damage as soon as it occurs Transport trash and waste to designated disposal area Stock, organize, and maintain guest supplies, sanitation and cleaning supplies, and other tools and items for the job Use all materials, chemicals, and tools safely to avoid injury, waste, unnecessary damage, or accidents THE BENEFITS AND PERKS At Solitude Mountain Resort, we offer a variety of employee benefits! TITLE: Tram Operator LOCATION: Snowbird STATUS: Full-time, Hourly SCHEDULE: 4 x 10-hour shifts Regularly scheduled work shifts require being on-call and working weekends, holidays, and some evenings. Will be required to work overnight shifts once a week, staying at The Summit. Shift: Work shifts consist of 10 hours or more each day starting at 6:00 am. SUMMARY As a Tram Operator you are responsible for the safe use and operation of Snowbird's Aerial Tram. You'll assist in the loading and unloading of anyone riding the tram. You'll make sure loading and unloading docks are safe and hazard free. You'll deliver Tram announcements at the end of each trip. WHAT YOU'LL DO Operate the tram in a safe and efficient manner. Keep all areas around the tram station free of hazards such as snow, ice, debris, etc. Complete daily logs. Provide friendly and efficient guest service. Deliver Tram announcements. WHAT YOU NEED TO GET THE JOB DONE Must be 18 years of age. Must demonstrate basic competency in reading, writing, speaking, math, and interpersonal skills. Requires basic mechanical skills and the ability to work well with others in an interactive work environment. Needs to be able to fill out log sheets in a legible manner. WORK SCHEDULE Typical schedule: 6:00 am to 4:30 pm. Some afternoon/evening shifts: 3:00 pm to midnight. WORKING CONDITIONS Must be prepared to stay overnight, if necessary, during occasional times of road closures. May experience unusual stress from continual work with public, winter conditions, snow night requirements and commuting to/from Snowbird. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Must be able to stand for long periods of time. Must demonstrate ability to bend, kneel, handle, reach, grasp and perform repetitive motions. Work is outdoors and requires constant exposure to cold and other extreme weather conditions.
