The Opportunity Be a part of the most exciting hospitality openings to happen in 2019! Banners Kitchen & Tap, opening this fall is built on the former site of the historic Boston Garden and located in the Hub on Causeway. Banners Kitchen & Tap is raising the expectations for a modern sports bar experience. A multi-concept, 23,000 square foot space with 500+ seats, 2 floors, 3 bars, VIP dining, Top Golf swing bays, and creative scratch kitchen. High energy and seriously fun! Patina Restaurant Group is looking for an energetic, personable and responsible Catering Department Intern to provide top-notch support to the Catering Sales Department. The position is involved in all aspects of the catering sales process from the inquiry to the successful completion of the event. The Catering Department Intern will be responsible for handling and prioritizing multiple tasks. He or she should be a forward thinker and highly organized. The Catering Department Intern will work on special projects, provide administrative support and conduct professional correspondence with clients in a timely and accommodating manner. Ideal candidates will possess a strong work ethic, have a keen attention to detail and take pride in providing genuine hospitality. Position Details Patina Restaurant Group is currently seeking a Catering Intern to support the Director of Catering in Boston for New England Aquarium and the Banners Kitchen & Tap. (PRG) features a collection of restaurants and bars in New York institutions from Lincoln Center to Rockefeller Center to Grand Central Station to Madison Square Garden. Responsibilities The Catering Department Intern responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: Provide support to the Catering Sales Department Handle guest inquiries via phone, email and in person Ability to multi-task and work on a broad variety of projects Understand and be able to articulate; the brand, product, catering menu Prepare Weekly Forecast (Pace Report) and distribute final format Prepare Draft BEO's for review by manager, BEO distribution Coordinate Thank you letters & surveys Distribute Event Orders, Rental Orders, Guarantee Sheets and other documents Maintain vendor files Maintain/update the Master Banquet Event Order Book in ReServe Provide Weekly and Monthly summaries of outstanding Banquet Event Orders Maintain accurate ReServe forms Proficiency in Word and Excel and ability to learn new software Flexibility to work a schedule that may include evenings and weekends You may be called upon from time to time to perform other duties that may not be included in your job description at management's discretion .
