Thomas Cuisine is hiring Cooks for a unique healthcare setting. The Cold/Snack Cook performs a wide variety of tasks and processes to prepare and cook food for patients, employees and visitors, following standard practices and procedures while complying with regulatory requirements. Responsibilities include: follow standard recipes, production sheets, tallies and ingredient room sheet to achieve nutritious, high quality, cost effective meals and handles food and equipment in accordance with sanitation and safety practices. $15.50+/hr. DOE Full Time Shifts; 4:30am- 1pm or/and 6:30am-3pm - Must have previous cooking / health care diet experience preferred.- Possess a friendly outgoing demeanor; work well with customers as well as associates.- Follow cafe guidelines concerning guest services, food and physical safety, maintenance and equipment/space cleaning requirements at all time.- Prepare food items, ensuring consistency and compliance with the Cafe's recipes, portioning, cooking, and waste control guidelines. - Scratch cooking experience is a plus- Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds. - You will be working 30 to 40 hours per week - Must be able to successfully pass a criminal background check (Federal & State) and drug screening Thomas Cuisine is an award-winning, privately-held contract food service company operating in 18 states and growing.
