The resident dining hall is open seven days a week and offers breakfast, lunch, dinner and late night. The Executive Chef is supported by a Production Chef and Sous Chef. The ideal candidate should demonstrate knowledge of menu development using food managementt systems, have ability mentor and develop culinarians, engage students, have a colloborative mindet and a passion for food! Manages all purchasing and inventory processes. Has direct interaction with students, guests and clinets. The University at Albany is located about 2 1/2 hours from New York City, Montreal, and Boston. You will be joining a team of professionals that manage a newly rejuvenated program with progressive food and design along with a team of dedicated professionals. We are looking for candidates who will: take a hands on approach to managing the daily food production including production planning and controls while ensuring Sodexo Culinary Standards including recipe compliance and food quality; manage food costing, controls and compliance; develop menus; have high expectations for customer service and quality of food; have the ability and willingness to develop and train frontline employees; have knowledge of special diets and allergens; knowledge of Sodexo Food Management System (FMS) is preferred.
