Our Opportunity: Seniority level: Director This role leads the development and pilot project lifecycle aspects within the US Restaurant Technology team. The position serves as the submission point for concepts new to the restaurant technology project portfolio. Duties include leadership of a team of project managers who own and drive a variety of exciting growth projects for our US restaurants across one or more of our three restaurant brands. These projects enable brands to serve guests daily through point of sale, digital menu boards, delivery, and integrated digital technologies. Other road map projects include growing the capabilities to support franchisees via enhanced sales, inventory, and kitchen management systems through back of house technologies. While US customers are the primary focus, a global mindset is required to realize cost efficiencies and maintain compatibility over time. This position requires a firm grasp on the entire restaurant lifecycle to effectively manage restaurant technology projects and will interact with franchisees, marketing, operations, field teams, business analytics, consumer technologies, legal, and a multitude of suppliers. A successful candidate will make strategic business decisions to maximize short-term uptime and long-term brand building, minimize support needs by systems failing gracefully at scale, and enable a reasonable hardware reinvestment cycle. The ideal candidate will be results and measurement driven, strategic, an exceptional communicator, and exhibit teamwork and influencing skills that foster collaboration in an environment of continuous improvement. The successful candidate will also be recognized for his/her ability to attract and develop top talent for the leadership pipeline. Roles and Responsibilities: Act as submission point for new projects into US Restaurant Technology Evaluate the economic viability, high-level business case, and funding model for US restaurant technology initiatives Clear, concise, and timely project status transparency to internal stakeholders, including executive updates Lead a team of project managers accountable for a variety of restaurant-facing technology projects Identify and mitigate project risks while monitoring project health Develop Program RACIs Maintain project RAID logs Communicate project goals and updates directly to franchisees Resource planning and levelling Requirements and scope management Serve as the named vendor manager for a vendor with >$1M annual sales to RBI Utilize project tools and templates to drive project delivery consistency Complete post project reviews/retrospectives to drive lessons learn and process improvements.
