We are looking for team members who are ready to be empowered to go above and beyond Job summary: A V bar Host's duties primarily focus on ensuring the guests have a positive experience as soon as they enter the bar. The Host/Hostess also greets Guests upon arrival, informs Guests of their wait time, monitors a waiting list, enters Guest names into the computer system, shows Guests to their table, and bids Guests farewell as they leave. Shift requirements: Shifts are from 4:00 PM to 1:00 AM. Nights and weekends, including holidays. Responsibilities Contribute positively to the team within the department Prepare for all guest requests Participate in ongoing training Organize seating through OpenTable to fill the dining room Perform opening and closing duties Maintain waitlists Keep work areas clean and organized Be extremely courteous to all customers and fellow employees Report unsafe conditions to your supervisor immediately Maintain hotel equipment in proper working conditions. Any other duties assigned by your immediate supervisor Think strategically with regard to sections, seating occupancy, and rotation Assist servers with side work, including cleaning, stocking, and rolling silverware Comply with Valencia Hotel Group (and its affiliates) standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations. Seat guests in organized and efficient manner. Clean tables and surrounding areas. No experience necessary; but hospitality background a plus.
