Spring Lake Village is an upscale Retirement community located near beautiful Spring Lake! Spring Lake Village is a community that values our residents and one another. We have openings in our Dining Services Department. In our formal dining room, as well as our casual bistro, we feature healthy, flavorful meals and seasonal menus that showcase fresh, local ingredients. COOKS Responsibilities The Cook I prepares and portions all hot food for daily select menus which include special diets such as, puree, dysphagia mechanical, dysphagia advanced, low sodium, calorie control, and diabetic diets as required by state and departmental guidelines. Prepares food items such as stocks, soups, sauces, meats/fish, vegetables, and starches. Also assists in the preparation of cold foods when necessary The Cook I is responsible for assuring food quality and portion sizes are correct, and reports lack of product or poor quality to a supervisor. Responsible for maintaining a daily production form that includes all food items produced during each meal period, all catered food served, and all leftover food, in accordance with departmental procedures The Cook I must maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen, which includes all refrigerated and dry storage areas. The Cook I assists with prep work for the next shift's cook Assists with checking in and putting away any incoming food supply orders promptly and in accordance with state and departmental guidelines DISHWASHERS Responsibilities The Utility Person makes sure that dishes and cooking utensils are cleaned and sanitized according to departmental standards in a timely fashion. Completes daily and weekly sanitation assignments as assigned and scheduled The Utility Person follows all sanitation guidelines as set forth by directors. Dresses in a clean, neat uniform and practices good personal hygiene Attends training sessions as assigned SERVERS Responsibilities The Server II ensures dining room tables and buffets are set properly prior to the start of each service. Completes all duties as detailed in the position analysis Greets residents in a friendly, welcoming manner The Server II supports the Dining Room Host in greeting, seating, and serving residents. Follows sanitation guidelines set forth by managers and the safety team Provides leadership in setting, serving, and clearing catering events Dresses in a neat, clean uniform, and practices good personal hygiene habits Helps maintain high standards of service throughout the facility The Server II will attend training sessions as assigned and complete other duties as assigned.
