We have an immediate need for a Dishwasher to join the team at The Lodge at Bridgemill, one of United Group's, professionally managed active adult communities located in Canton, GA. To learn more about our property, please visit: Major Tasks + Key Responsibilities: Inspects all dishwasher and pot sink areas to ensure cleanliness and safety concerns; takes immediate action to correct any deficiencies. Ensures all dishes are clean and fully dried before putting away. Ensures garbage cans are emptied as needed and end of shift and garbage cans are properly cleaned out and relined prior to clocking out. May be asked to assist with bussing in the dining room if business volume dictates. Abides by all Company rules, regulations, and policies. Abides by all attire, hygiene, and personal appearance requirements per Company policy. Ensures all dishwashing supplies are stocked for service; will be required to immediately report shortages to the Head Chef and/or Property Manager. Assists with all special functions and continental breakfast function set up and break down as needed. Maintains a clean and orderly work area at all times; understands all safety and emergency procedures. Attends all in service training/meetings. Practices teamwork at all times. Performs all other duties assigned by the Dining Room Manager and Property Manager. Job Overview + Requirements: Job Type: Dishwasher; $16 per hour Work Hours: Full-Time, Monday through Friday; Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and Holidays as needed. Required Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a high-volume dishwasher position Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand/walk for 8 to 10 hours; bend, push, pull and lift up to 30 pounds. Qualities: Must be professional, articulate, friendly and punctual. Ability to conduct business with enthusiasm, assertiveness, and have the ability to serve as a role model exuding a positive attitude and professional decorum. Detail oriented; regards prompt follow up to open issues as a priority. Professional presentation to be compatible with the established guidelines of United Group and Campo Felice resort-style service. Position Summary Our exciting Manager-In-Training (MIT) program gives you the opportunity to learn and grow at an established company with over 45 years of experience. As our newest associate, you'll experience a custom interactive program that will guide you through hands-on and computer-based training, lasting approximately twelve (20) weeks. The program focuses on different aspects of managing your own account, including: General Training & Comprehension - Learn and perform the job assignments of the dietary aide, cook, and dishwasher positions and, as such, can operate, and teach others how to operate, a variety of industrial kitchen equipment. Leadership Development - Lead small groups of line staff in food preparation, serving, and clean-up activities on varying shifts as needed. Policies & Procedures - Learn to provide leadership, support and guidance to ensure that food quality standards, inventory levels, food safety guidelines and customer service expectations are met, including following facility menus, current applicable federal, state, and local standards, in line with our established policies and procedures to ensure that quality dining services are provided at all times. Reporting - Train in maintaining records of income and expenditures, food, supplies, personnel, and equipment in report format to be delivered to HCSG and Facility management. Training - Learning to be responsible for all training, quality control and in-servicing staff to meet HCSG standards is an essential part of the Manager's responsibility and includes touring the kitchen several times per day to assess work quality using QCIs for documentation purposes. Must also be able to perform the essential job functions of dietary aide, cook, and dishwasher positions to train and assist when there are call-outs. Leadership - Learn to effectively handle managerial responsibilities as well, including but not limited to payroll submission, staffing patterns, effective coaching and discipline, purchasing, maintaining inventory, and budgeting. Communication - Effectively communicate all directives from client managers, building occupants, and administrators to HCSG staff. Safety - Utilize protective gear in all appropriate functions. Responsible for the safe and proper mixing and use of cleaning solutions while adhering to all safety precautions. Reporting equipment/cleaning product needs and or malfunctions to supervisor in a timely fashion. Ensure the established standards, safety, and quality guidelines are met. Follow infection control and universal precautions policies and procedures to ensure that a sanitary environment is achieved at all times. Follow proper reporting, isolation, and handwashing procedures/techniques. Punctuality - Consistent attendance and punctual arrival. Timely completion of assigned cleaning area according to schedule. Respond to the paging system in a timely and appropriate manner. Customer Experience - Positively represents HCSG by following instructions, being courteous, and cooperative with supervisor, co-workers, and client staff. Resident Experience - Positive, pleasant, and tactful interactions with residents, staff, and facility guests. Qualifications Demonstrate a positive attitude with the ability to follow oral and written instructions, and perform routine, repetitive tasks daily. After completing all appropriate training, utilize leadership skills to accomplish all responsibilities without supervision and do so without injury to oneself or other individuals. An associate's degree or higher in food service management or hospitality, course study including food service or restaurant management from an accredited institution of higher learning is preferred. Specialized training in foodservice management and nutrition is desirable. Certified Dietary Manager or Certified Food Service Manager designation is required in accordance with CMS and/or State/County law. Two years of experience in quantity food production/service, dining/nutrition, and personnel supervision experience are desired. Basic computer skills with the ability to maintain records and complete reports as required, including web-based reporting. May be required to complete an approved sanitation and safety course. ServSafe: Current ServSafe certification is required by State / County law. The time of publication of the job description requires ServSafe Food Handler Certification in the following States: CA, FL, IL, OR, TX, UT, and WA. County requirements are in effect in the following States at publication: AL, AZ, KS, MO, MT, NE, NJ, NM, MV, NY, OK, VA and WV.
