Summary : The Director of Revenue Management will be responsible for managing the Reservations team and for overseeing the processes associated with demand, revenue, forecasting, and inventory and opportunity analysis. Duties and Responsibilities: · Maximizes room revenue contribution through a thorough understanding of all booking channels and management of inventory and rate therein. · Continuous analysis of changing channel distribution models and the impact on consumer booking trends. · Operationalizes hotel and corporate pricing strategies through definition and management of rate levels, hurdle points, which are congruent with demand factors. and managed through all distribution channels to maximize RevPar. · Owner of Revenue Management System. Responsible for configuration, forecast validation and daily interaction with system and decision produced. · Completes all rooms forecasting to accurately project demand and pick up for groups and transient, both short and long term. Participates in the annual budgeting process and is to produce day by day Rooms Revenue Budget with Director of Sales & Marketing. · Reviews competitive set pricing, yield strategies and completes analysis of the market and its opportunities based upon the competition. · Chairs weekly Revenue Management Meetings and presents weekly revenue agenda items Minutes are taken, distributed and discussed at the subsequent meeting to ensure action is taken. Managing Relationships: · Maintains a strong relationship with GRC and Distribution Services. Work Product: · Ensures accurate and timely preparation of analytical reports. · Full understanding of the competition and market mix; both locally and overseas. · Ensures operational accuracy of PMS, CRS, Caterese, and other operational software programs. · Coordinates updates/stay restrictions or rate changes to reflect the hotel's selling strategy in response to the market demand. · Maintains records pertaining to market segments, transient pace numbers, forecasts, and other rooms data. · Ensures the hotels descriptions and set up in all distribution systems are correct and reflect the hotels selling strategy in all booking channels. · Develops long term selling strategy with Area General Manager, Vice President of Hospitality and Sr. Sales Manager. Managing & Developing the Management Team: · Oversees the Reservations team, and liaises with Front Office, Food & Beverage and Sales to ensure the highest level of guest service is maintained while maximum profit is generated. · Works with the Area General Manager and Sales Team members to effectively communicate and encourage strategic selection of the right piece of business, in keeping with hotel guidelines. · Works closely with Director of Sales & Marketing and Sales Team on all group bookings. · With Area General Manager, establishes and presents hotel pricing levels for implementation. · Ensures a clean and safe working environment in accordance to health regulations and the hotel's health and safety program. · Adheres to all hotel policies and procedures · Exercises discretion and independent judgment in the completion of job duties related to matters of significance. Other Functions : · Performs other duties as assigned MinimumQualifications: · B.A. Degree in Business Administration or other similar major. · Minimum of 2 years as a Director of Revenue Management. Additional experience in sales, front desk, and reservations is preferred. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: · In depth knowledge in the use of automated systems including but not limited to PMS, CRS, Channel Management Tools as well as Microsoft Office. · Strategic thinking, long-range planning and vision are foremost attributes with a strong analytical mindset. · Comfortable in discussion forums; able to represent ideas succinctly and convincingly · Problem solving and team building skills and experience · Ability to work independently, yet respond to internal customer's needs. · Highly organized and able to handle multiple priorities with limited time constraints is key to success for this individual. · Experience and education in Yield Management · Strength in the use of Word, Excel, PowerPoint · Ability to work independently, yet respond to the internal customer's needs.
