We are looking for a positive, dependable, and, caring cook to work on a per Diem basis. The right candidate will join a team that strives to meet the growing demand in our community for quality care.The cook supports the health and nutrition of residents by preparing and cooking meals, while upholding strict sanitation and safe handling procedures. Under the supervision of the dietary supervisor, the cook helps ensure that each residents meal, snack and beverage is in accordance with the individuals nutrition plan. The cook is responsible for several aspects of the kitchen work, including preparing, cooking and serving meals, and working tray line.ResponsibilitiesAdhere to all foodservice standards and regulations as set forth by the New York State Department of Health.Preparation and cooking of all meals according to the menu.Preparation and cooking of special meals for residents when prescribed by the physician.Prepare substitute meal as noted on the substitute meal log provided by the facility.Must follow the rule of FIFO (First in, first out).
