TemPositions - We have immediate openings for culinary staff at all skills levels. Positions range from Sous Chefs, 1st Cooks, Grill Cooks, Saute & Specialty Cooks, Food Preps, and Deli Preps. TemPositions Hospitality offers a flexible schedule with most assignments being Monday through Friday, with additional work on the weekend based on seasonality positions and events to accommodate our client needs. We also offer an extensive benefits program. RESPONSIBILITIES: Set-up and break-down and sanitation of assigned work area(s) Basic food prep and/ or cooking for both the corporate cafeteria and catering departments Follow sanitation guidelines at all times Adhere to safety standards, i.e., using a cut glove Wear non-slip work shoesSKILLS: 2 years of cooking/food prep experience Excellent knife Skills Great communication skills Follow instructions and take direction from upper management Ability to adapt to fast-changing environments Flexibility Team Player CT and/or NYC Food Handlers Certificate preferred but not requiredEducation: High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required Accredited Culinary Institution certification and/or diploma desired
