Cane Rossois Texas' favorite (and most humble) Neapolitan pizzeria and Italian-American food company, and we're actively hiring inexperienced and experiencedPizza Makers/Cooks and Dishwashers in Austin, TX. We're seeking fast, savvy kitchen cooks and pizza makers with solid communication skills to work with us part-time. We offer competitive, above-industry average hourly pay, opportunities for promotions, cross-training, raises, affordable benefits, free food and more.Pizza Makers/Cooks Job Duties:You work quick and calm in our fast-paced environment with the team and you're responsible for the proper preparation (stretching, topping, and baking) and standard presentation of all pizzas for service.You prepare menu pizzas, specialty pizzas, dessert pizzas, and all other food orders as directed using our wood-fired oven.You assist with training new pizza cook associates and helping management oversee the pizza line and quality control.You maintain our quality standards and consistency of the food by complying with sanitation standards, keeping your Food Handler certification current, attending safety meetings, and participating in useful industry or company events.QualificationsWe hire pizza makers with restaurant kitchen experience, so you don't have to be pro in pizza prep to apply. Previous experience managing a wood-fired oven is beneficial and can help qualify you for a higher rate of pay but we'll train the right people.We're seeking to hire new and veteran pizza makers who work well with others and works well under pressure (our restaurant gets busy!).You work part-time or full-time hours and you are available for day shifts, weekends and some holidays.You have a willingness to learn and dedication to serving the best quality product.Dishwasher Job Duties:Operate the restaurant's industrial dishwasher with care and caution.Wash glassware, dishes, pizza plates, cookware, utensils, and other kitchen or serving items as needed. Wash items by hand when necessary.Empty and clean all trash cans as needed.Keep a clean work area and ensure dish storage is properly organized.Follow state and company required safety and sanitation policies at all times.Provide assistance to prep cook and other kitchen staff as needed, especially during peak times.Perform opening, closing and side work as needed and directed.Report to the back of house Manager/Chef for your weekly schedule, training, assigned duties, and when making schedule requests.Clean up spills or broken glassware immediately and notify the manager on duty.Report any sanitation or safety concerns to management.Qualifications and SkillsPrefer 1+ years of volume dishwashing experience in a busy restaurant, hotel, or similar atmosphere. Prep cook experience a plus but not required. No experience is required to apply, were willing to train the right person.High school diploma or GED preferred.Excellent critical thinking and time management skills.Ability to operate industrial machinery and carry loads up to 20 lbs.Willingness to work in hot, humid environment and on your feet for 8-hour shift.Highly prefer the ability to work full time restaurant hours, including nights and weekends.
