The Benefits Specialist is responsible for assisting with the administration of all benefits and retirement programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short and long-term disability and 401k/profit sharing plan. Essential Duties • Ensures the accuracy of all benefit enrollments in order to provide vendors with accurate eligibility information. • Performs quality checks of benefits-related data. • Assists employees regarding benefits claims issues and plan changes. • Responsible for new hire benefit enrollments. • ACA administration and annual filing. • Responds to benefits inquiries from employees and physicians on plan provisions, benefits enrollments, status changes and other general inquiries. • Processes and administers all leave-of-absence requests and disability paperwork: medical, personal, disability and FMLA. • Responsible for approving Life Event changes for employee benefits. • Effectively interprets FMLA and ADA implications as they relate to leaves of absences/disabilities. • Responds to 401k inquiries from employees relating to enrollments, plan changes and contribution amounts. • Send benefit letters to terminated employees with conversion forms and work with PayFlex on COBRA enrollments/issues. • Administers the entire open enrollment process for all divisions including system configuration. • Provide necessary reports to Accounting and Payroll. • Responsible for all interface validation on a weekly basis. • Pension administration, • Responsible for generating their Consolidated Headcount report for all their divisions and submittal to Accounting. • Extensive knowledge of employee benefits and applicable laws • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Excellent organizational and time management skills • Knowledge of and experience with HRIS systems (Ultimate Software preferred • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field of study • Three to five years' experience in HR and/or benefits administration Experience • Three to five years' experience in HR and/or benefits administration Nesco Resource and affiliates (Lehigh G.I.T Inc, and Callos Resource, LLC) is an equal employment opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, age, or veteran status, or any other legally protected characteristics with respect to employment opportunities.
