Essential Duties/Responsibilities: The Asst. H2o Pool Manager directs and coordinates operations in the Pool Department. Exhibit conduct in accordance with all Gaming Commission Regulations, Federal and State laws and regulations, and Golden Nugget and departmental policies and procedures. Consistently deliver positive, courteous and professional guest service in all interactions with guests, visitors, vendors and fellow employees. Execute all personnel functions including but not limited to interviewing, hiring, coaching & counseling, termination, payroll and recruitment Establish and maintain the pool policies and procedures Implement and maintain training of new personnel and developmental training of all staff Establish and maintain communication lines within the department and between other departments within the hotel Maintain employee records (attendance, coaching) Develop, draft & train all new protocols as directed by management Monitor and maintain a clean safe pool area including the enforcement of all safety rules and regulations for the pool Ensure that all lifesaving equipment is in proper order and location Monitor and inventory of towels, pool supplies and cabana amenities Supervise and oversee cabana operations as outlined in the policies and procedures Work directly with casino marketing to effectively manage cabana rentals Maintain open communication with Retail and F&B to ensure seamless pool operation. Ensure overall cleanliness in BOH and prep areas Stay abreast of current trends and practices within area of responsibility and communicate pertinent information to management, peers, direct reports and employees as appropriate. Promote positive public/employee relations at all times. Maintain a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility. Safeguard the confidential information of all employee, department and company records. Demonstrate a commitment to ensuring responsible gaming and responsible alcohol service by discreetly notifying appropriate management of concerns and observations. Ensure prompt and discrete notification to senior management and/or the Ethics Hotline of any observation of illegal acts and/or internal ethics violations. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements: High School Diploma required. Previous hospitality experience required. Current CPR license required. Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Must have solid decision-making, organization, and interpersonal skills. Excellent verbal communication skills are required. The ability to thrive in a fast-paced multi-tasking, hands-on environment. Ability to establish and maintain a positive and professional working relationships with all individuals. Ability to work occasional overtime and irregular hours.
