Fast-growing, dynamic public, non-profit organization is seeking an Assistant Food & Beverage / Guest Services Manager interested in growing their hospitality management career at the Lancaster Event Center Fairgrounds (LEC). You will assist the Food & Beverage Manager & other LEC managers to deliver all aspects of food & beverage and guest services to grow profitability, customer satisfaction and retention in support of our mission to further local engagement with agriculture & serve our youth, community and economy. Lancaster Event Center (LEC) is a nationally-recognized event center with 400,000 square feet of multiuse spaces on 160 acres with two newly-opened outdoor events spaces: the 10th largest event center campground (1,300 sites) in the USA and a newly expanded outdoor multisport grandstand arena. Now home to over 300 events with 500-600K visitor days annually, the LEC drives over $50-65 million in local economic impact while providing affordable space for local youth, community and business events. The LEC is owned and operated by the Lancaster County Agricultural Society which organizes and produces the largest county fair in Nebraska each summer the Lancaster County Super Fair-which draws over 100K visitors over 10 days in late July/early August annually. AVAILABILITY: • Full-time, in-person • Hours scheduled around events with mix of planning time & some weekday events M-F mostly daytime and frequent nights/weekends. Average hours per week fluctuate from 40-50 hours/week seasonally to ensure delivery of services to our largest events. • Many nights/weekends may be limited peak hours in person (on a take turns week basis with the Food & Beverage Manager) for staff questions & monitoring sales/attendance/weather remotely if need to adjust staffing.
