Unit Description Nebraska Medicine is a 600+ bed, acute-care teaching hospital and home to the internationally recognized Fred and Pamela Buffett Cancer Center. The position will report directly to the Operations Manager. Sodexo is seeking an Executive Chef II at Nebraska Medicine/University of Nebraska Medical Center. The Executive Chef's main responsibilities are the daily operations of breakfast and lunch service in the fine dining restaurant and retail cafe. The Executive Chef will also work directly with the Catering Manager and Operations Manager and continue to develop the high end catering program based out of the restaurant. The candidate must have food and labor cost control experience, exceptional customer service and leadership skills as well as experience creating high end menus. The position is a highly functioning role where the client places a high value on customer and employee satisfaction and engagement. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Executive Chef will have oversight of 8 employees. This is a culinary management role, but will also be hands-on to support the culinary operations.
