Sodexo Schools segment is seeking a c reative, dynamic Executive Chef 3 for a potential account opening in the Greater Dallas, TX area. This Culinary Leader has a truly exciting opportunity to grow in a unique K-12 Operation, which has over 17,000 students and 17 schools . This fast-growing K-12 account is looking to expand their quality National School Lunch Program offerings for the elementary schools. All of the secondary schools are off-program which allows more creativity and higher level offerings to the students. The selected candidate will work with our Food Service Director to implement Sodexo programs, systems, and procedures. This is a key leadership role in establishing and maintaining an exceptionally high level of culinary standards. He or she will also support Catering functions. Our ideal candidate will be a self-motivated individual that is able to create culinary promotions to further increase student meal purchases. We are looking for candidates who have: 5 - 10 years culinary background in high volume dining overseeing multiple venues - with the demonstrated ability to stay current with new culinary trends; previous experience in a K-12 environment and with the National School Lunch Program is preferred, food retail culinary background a plus; excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to maintain the highest of culinary standards; strong coaching and employee development skills, a hands-on trainer; successful experience managing and motivating other managers; and have a passion for food and innovation. Bachelors Degree is required. The successful candidate will: be responsible for purchasing, menu compliance, inventory, food cost analysis and food production; ensure Sodexo and USDA/NSLP Culinary standards including recipe compliance and food quality are implemented; have the ability and willingness to motivate, coach, train, nd develop frontline (hourly-paid staff; provide stellar customer/client service; ensure food safety, sanitation and workplace safety standard compliance; and/or have working knowledge of automated food inventory, ordering, production and management systems.
