Harry & David is currently looking for Operations Maintenance Specialist to join our team.


*Develop staff for future opportunities by providing constructive feedback and writing and conducting performance reviews.

*Develop training materials and procedures for department.

*Collaborate with operations teams to provide the level of service needed

*Work with vendors and suppliers for preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and new equipment installation when applicable

*Ensure production and warehouse equipment are running safely and efficiently

*Impacts retention by fostering a respectful team environment that supports workplace values through professional communication and timely problem solving.

*Develop plans with action items to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the department

*Manage daily activities of the maintenance team to ensure adequate coverage while meeting budgetary goals.

*Coordinate with Quality Assurance to ensure SQF requirements are being met for machinery and equipment.

*Maintain department facility, training and regulatory logs and reports

*Assist in interviewing candidates as assigned.

*Communicate effectively with outside and inside partners at all levels of the organization

*Assists in maintaining the security of the facility

*Other duties/ projects as assigned.


  • Education -- Technical maintenance skill training in mechanized, electronic and/or automated technology
  • Minimum of 10 years supervisory experience in a similar environment
  • Experience with pneumatics, electrical & hydraulics
  • Ability to review and interpret technical drawings
  • Certifications in mechanized, electronic and automated technology preferred
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Ability to review and interpret technical drawings, and use and diagnostic tools and equipment for troubleshooting
  • Ability to read, write and speak English effectively
