Our Exciting Work Environment

The Nashville International Airport serves seventy-nine counties with a population base of nearly 3 million within a 100-mile radius of Nashville in portions of three states - Middle Tennessee, Southern Kentucky, and Northern Alabama. Delaware North Companies Travel Hospitality Services offers travelers a taste of the Music City through food and entertainment venues such as O' Charley's, Tootsies, La Hacienda, and Tennessee Brew Works. Opening in 2020: Peg Leg Porker BBQ, Chick-Fil-A, and Princes Hot Chicken.

The Opportunity

Responsible for the overall management of the kitchen at the Toostie's venue.

  • Supervise activities of cooks, coordinate and actively participate in event operations and monitor food and labor costs.
  • Plan menus, maintaining financial responsibility for the menu mix.
  • Oversees inventory of food product and coordinates product ordering and receiving within corporate specifications.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen to comply with state and local health department regulations.
  • Train, manage, and retain great associates

Qualifications

  • Three to five years Culinary Arts experience with the last two years in a leadership role as a banquet chef, sous chef, executive sous chef, or kitchen manager.
  • Experience in high volume airport concept or sporting venue preferred.
  • The ideal candidate is extremely reliable, detail-oriented, and proficient with all basic cooking techniques
  • Strong organizational, communication and PC skills.
  • Familiar with monitoring of food and labor cost, menu development and costing.
  • Familiar with ordering and inventory procedures.
  • Experience in high volume multi-unit operations.
  • Professional, enthusiastic, responsible, and dependable team player
  • Self-motivated, takes initiative and willing to acquire new skills
  • ServSafe Certification required.
  • Must obtain ACF Certification within the first 2 years of employment.
  • Candidate is required to take a culinary practical.
