The Ammonia Refrigeration Maintenance Technician must have a strong background of 5-7 years in ammonia refrigeration systems, as well as general maintenance mechanical set including HVAC/Refrigeration.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Ammonia Engine Room
Conduct daily checks of and monitor the ammonia system as required by federal, state and local regulations
Contact for ammonia system service vendor
Responsible for daily ice harvest for production
Perform preventative maintenance for ice makers and water filtration system
Responsible for ice maker settings that change seasonally
Visual inspections of ice for clarity, cube size and hole space
Conduct preventative maintenance
Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning equipment
Maintain parts / supplies inventory
Occasionally assist with bagging product during peak periods - heat waves, summer etc.
Minor facility and building grounds maintenance
Order and inventory parts for general facility maintenance
Respond to ice merchandiser service calls out in the field as needed
