The Bartender prepares cocktails, serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to patrons of pub or restaurant by performing the following duties. Performs server assignments as directed.
Takes food and beverage orders.
Inputs orders into the POS system.
Ensures exceptional guest service.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Takes orders from customers or Cocktail Waitperson.
Serves liquor, wine and draught or bottled beer.
Validates proper age and/or ability to be served (refer to the alcohol verification for ID’s: national guide if needed)
Performs cash and charge processes for food, beverages and items served.
Requests and replenishes supplies
Arranges bottles and glasses to make attractive display.
Prepares food items as assigned including fruits and vegetables for garnishing drinks, appetizers, snacks and menu items.
Replenishes bar snacks such as chips, pretzels and nuts.
Works safely, consistently using designated safety equipment (personal protective equipment- PPE).
Maintains organization and sanitation of assigned work areas.

Ability to serve meals and beverages, understand guests special requests, and follow through with the service process in a friendly manner.

Must meet the States’ age requirements for serving alcohol.
Employee will be required to work some weekends and holidays
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Experience in a kitchen/service environment preferred.
T.I.P.s or ServSafe Alcohol certification preferred. Training must be completed within 90 days of commencing employment unless the state requires earlier.
LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, REGISTRATIONS:
Must maintain T.I.P.s, ServSafe Alcohol or state mandated certification (once obtained within first 90 days of employment unless the state requires earlier).
